This trilogy contains in order of how they appear in the ebook: The Thought Readers (Book 1), The Time Stopper (Book 0), and The Thought Pushers (Book 2). I'm also including my review of The Enlightened (Book 3)
The Thought Readers follows Darren, as he navigates learning about his powers from the brother/sister duo, Eugene and Mira. Mira is trying to find the people responsible for the murder of their parents, while Eugene is trying to continue the scientific research of their father. Enter the Pushers, the opposite of a Reader, who bring with them the Russian Mob. It's not an easy book to put down. It's fast paced and flows seamlessly page to page.
The Time Stopper follows Mira as she tries to discover who is responsible for her parents' death. This novella serves only to give insight to who Mira is and why she does what she does. It's fast paced as well, but doesn't add a whole lot to the series other than understanding what she witnessed the day of her parents' explosion. I couldn't even begin to imagine how that would mess someone up.
The Thought Pushers continues where The Thought Readers left off. Darren has discovered a new talent, and a new faction. New friends, new enemies. And an exciting conclusion to Mira's quest to discover and dispatch her parents' murderer. This book had more plot twists than the prior two combined. It is well written, and pulls the reader in to the world of Readers (Leachers) and Guides (Pushers.)
The Enlightened This book was more fast paced than the last couple. We're still following Darren and his group. Add the Enlightened, some monks, a new talent, and a betrayal like no other, and you have a book that will eat your whole night away. At least it did mine. He finds out who killed his biological parents, and (no spoilers) it'll knock you for a loop. He also finds out that you can push a pusher. Cannot wait for the next one.
I received this product free in return for a honest review. Getting a free product does not affect what I say. My reviews reflect only my experience with the product and reviews are good or bad only based on how well the product works for me.
I like trying new things, and I like talking. So why not talking about trying new things? Also included are random thoughts I have about navigating this crazy thing called "Life." I hope you enjoy. Feel free to drop me a line or two if you can relate, or even if you disagree.
